Now After the success of IBPS for conducting Common Written Exam for Officers and Clerks in Public Sector banks.The Government of India had backed IBPS again by giving the responsibility to conduct the CWE for RRB's.The main reason for conducting the CWE for RRB's is that there had been virtually no hiring since 1990 and large number of employees are retiring in the coming 2-3 years
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) had today issued the Notification for the Recruitment of Assistants and Officers in Regional Rural Banks.Candidates who wish to apply for Assistant and Officers Jobs in Regional Rural Banks are advised to go through the Detailed Advt regarding the Eligibility criteria, Online application, Exam Pattern etc.
In order to apply for Officers and Assistant Jobs in RRB's, candidates will have to appear in a Common Written Exam (CWE) to be conducted by IBPS on the specified dates.The successful students in the IBPS CWE for RRB's will be issued a scorecard based on which they can apply for Jobs in Regional Rural Banks.The validity of Scorecard is of 1 year.The Individual RRB's will have their own selection and screening process that will mentioned in the each bank's Recruitment Notification

Candidates must note that CWE of IBPS is only far taking part in the Recruitment process, where as the ultimate recruitment will be done by the respective banks.Only those students who are declared as qualified in the IBPS CWE for RRB's will be eligible to apply for Jobs in Regional Rural Banks.
Each RRB will issued its own notification specifying the vacancies and stipulated eligibility criteria as desired by each RRB in terms of Educational qualifications, Age Limit, Proficiency in Local Language of Applied State/UT, Experience, Minimum IBPS Score in the IBPS RRB CWE
Each Regional Rural bank (RRB) will have its own eligibility criteria, so merely satisfying the IBPS Eligibility criteria doesn't entitle you for a job in RRB.Infact you have to satisfy the each RRB's eligibility criteria.

Educational Qualifications : A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university of India.
